2010 Show

The 2010 show will be held on Saturday August 28th.

The 2009 show was a great success and followed two years in which the show had to be cancelled; in 2007 because of an outbreak of foot and mouth disease in Surrey and in 2008 due to wet weather.

If you are in the Lake District in summer come and sample a special country pursuit with a visit to the show. This is one of the few remaining genuinely traditional shows, running since 1901.

Stay a while, relax amid the beauty of this lovely Lakeland dale and mingle with hill farmers and their families. Listen to ancient Cumbrian dialect whilst enjoying yourself at a leisurely pace for a few hours. Afterwards recollect the day with new - found contentment and a better understanding of country life.

We have kept the show to the original format and content and, having resisted commercialisation, are proud of our claim to be a genuinely traditional Lakeland event.
