SATURDAY 28th AUGUST 2010

LATEST NEWS:
2010 Show
The 2010 show will be held on Saturday August 28th.
After having had to cancel our 2007 event (due to the outbreak of foot & mouth disease in Surrey) and the 2008 event (due to prolonged wet weather) we held a successful show in 2009, although a slightly damp day ! Things are now full steam ahead for an even better event in 2010.
We look forward to seeing you and hope you will give us your support. We can confirm a lot of plans are in place and even a dry, warm sunny day has been booked!

Patterdale Dog Day
Welcome to Patterdale Dog Day, our small show runs on the Saturday of the August Bank Holiday weekend and is centred around an open sheep dog trials competition. As well as the dog trial there are many other attractions and shows to keep you entertained throughout the day.
Our traditional country show is situated in one of the most beautiful locations in England.
The show field experiences the spectacular back drop of some of the most beautiful lakeland fells including part of the Helvellyn massif.
Patterdale Dog Day is one of the few remaining genuinely traditional shows. 2010's show is the 107th show to be held at Patterdale and we hope you will join us to enjoy the day.
Come to our day, stay a while amid the beauty of this lovely Lakeland dale and mingle with hill farmers, their families, local residents and visitors from around the world. Take a while to listen to the ancient Cumbrian dialect whilst enjoying the attractions for a leisurely few hours.
Among the attractions on the day include:
Open Sheep Dog Trails All Day
Terrier Show (open )
Open Gundog Show
Children's Pets Class
Show of traditional Sticks and Crooks
Ullswater Foxhound Show
Fell Race (open)
Children's Fell Race

For further details of the days program please see the timetable page.
As well as the above attractions there are refreshments available all day with a catering tent together with a bar
We hope you will come away from the day with some wonderful memories together with a new found contentment and a better understanding of traditional country life.
If the above has taken your fancy then we would love to share our show with you and look forward to seeing you at King George V Playing Field, Patterdale for an enjoyable day of traditional entertainment on Saturday 28th August 2010.
